Our Restaurant

Aa-Gård’s restaurant is open for private or corporate groups of at least eight people. It is also possible to book for larger groups events, weddings and parties.

We make traditional Norwegian food cooked on local ingredients. We combine traditional recipes and flavours, but add our own and new twist. Our signature dishes include lamb meat from our own flock, and cod or halibut fish from Lavangen’s fjord.

Our restaurant seats around 60 guests and our wine cellar around 30 guests.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our Inspirations

The meat and protein sources in our menus served in our restaurant are all locally sourced:

  • The lamb meat is from our own sheep flock, free-roaming in the mountains in summer.
  • The fish is freshly caught from the waters of Lavangen’s fjord
  • Salmons are caught in the closed-by rivers, or are from the local salmon farms and smoked locally by a neighbour
  • Our elk meat is from Lavangen’s hill
  • All the eggs used in recipes are from our own chickens.

Food and Wine pairing

Raise a glass to a great vacation when you visit Aa-Gård, Lavangen. Our wine cellar, bellow the restaurant, is filled with a variety of our own wine imported from our family winery in Germany.

Here, you can try all sorts of wines from our exclusive collection, including sweet, dry, robust, and fruity wines. As Covid-19 restrictions are lifted, our wine cellar is available for private degustation parties.

This intimate environment will bring your group (private or corporate) closer together, all while enjoying great wine and food!

We follow the seasons to decide our menus, and use only locally sourced ingredients.

In our attempt to fight food waste in the industry, we are collecting all the compostable food scraps from the restaurant and guests, and offer it to our chickens, for their biggest happiness.
